Albion College will welcome alumni, students, families, and community members to campus October 17–18 for its annual Homecoming celebration, a spirited weekend full of tradition, athletics, and opportunities for meaningful connection. More than just a gathering, Homecoming is a vibrant reminder of Albion’s enduring legacy and the bonds that link generations of Britons. Recent graduate, Dylan Cardinale Class of 2025 states that “I’ve been looking forward to homecoming since the day I graduated. Albion consists of so many of my closest friends and best memories, it’s a place I will always hold close to my heart”.
The festivities kick off Friday with Brit Talks, a signature event that brings distinguished alumni back to campus to share their personal stories and career journeys. These talks are designed to offer inspiration, insight, and practical wisdom to current students who are preparing to navigate life after Albion. From corporate leadership to public service, the speakers embody the diverse paths a liberal arts education can open. For many students, it’s a rare opportunity to hear real-world experiences from those who once sat in the same classroom.

Later that afternoon, the spotlight shifts to one of Albion’s most iconic athletic spaces with a dedication ceremony for the historic Kresge Gymnasium. Recently renovated with modern amenities while preserving its architectural charm, the gym now stands ready to support a new generation of student-athletes. Visitors will have the chance to tour the refreshed facility, meet members of the athletic department, and hear firsthand from athletes excited to compete in this revitalized space, a blend of tradition and transformation.
As the sun sets, the energy turns celebratory and reflective during the Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, one of the weekend’s most prestigious honors. Eight individuals and one team will be recognized for their exceptional contributions to Briton athletics, not just in terms of wins and records, but for their leadership, perseverance, and embodiment of Albion’s values. The evening concludes on a high note as Albion’s volleyball team takes on rival Hope College in what is sure to be an electrifying match inside the newly rededicated Kresge Gymnasium.
Saturday’s lineup is a full-day showcase of school pride, friendly competition, and community spirit. Beginning with morning tailgating at 9 a.m., Britons of all ages are invited to enjoy food, music, and camaraderie in a festive pregame atmosphere. For alumni, it’s a chance to reconnect with classmates. For students and families, it’s a chance to celebrate what makes Albion unique.

The day’s athletic competitions begin with the men’s soccer team facing Hope College at 11 a.m. at Alumni Field, an exciting precursor to the weekend’s marquee event: the Homecoming football game at 1 p.m. Albion will host Alma College at Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium in a rematch fueled by last year’s narrow loss (30–40). With the Scots returning as formidable opponents, this game is expected to be a highlight, drawing crowds ready to cheer, chant, and celebrate the grit and glory of Briton football.
The action continues into the afternoon as women’s soccer battles Calvin University at 4 p.m., also at Alumni Field. Each match this weekend reflects Albion’s commitment to athletic excellence and the close-knit, competitive spirit that defines the MIAA conference.

For those seeking a more artistic expression of Briton talent, the Albion College Music Department will present its Homecoming Concert at 7:30 p.m. in Goodrich Chapel. Featuring performances by the Concert Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Collective, and Briton Singers, the concert promises a moving and memorable end to the day. The blend of classical and contemporary pieces will showcase the depth and diversity of Albion’s musical talent, reminding audiences that excellence at Albion spans beyond the playing field.
In addition to public events, the weekend will also feature a series of class reunions and alumni gatherings, offering moments of reconnection and reflection. Special attention will be given to the Golden Britons, alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago and continue to serve as the foundation of Albion’s rich legacy.
Homecoming at Albion College is more than a weekend event; it’s a celebration of heritage, resilience, and shared identity. Whether you’re an alum returning to a familiar campus, a student building your own Albion memories, or a local resident discovering the college community anew, you’re invited to take part in the magic of Homecoming. It’s a time to honor the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to a future shaped by connection, learning, and pride in being a Briton.
