Autumn is in full swing, and Whitehouse Nature Center is celebrating with a free Fall Festival on October 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This family-friendly event will feature pumpkin carving, fall crafts, festive snacks, and a special presentation from the Leslie Science & Nature Center – bringing along live bats and other “spooky critters” for guests to meet.
What makes this year’s festival especially exciting is the partnership with Albion College’s LA 101: Zombies, Vampires, and the History of Horror course. By collaborating with the community to host a seasonal celebration, the class is creating opportunities for students and residents alike to come together and enjoy one of the most beautiful times of the year in Albion.
As night falls, guests are invited to enjoy the Pumpkin Walk, where jack-o-lanterns will light the way along the wooded trails. Dozens of hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns will line a wooded trail, creating a glowing autumn path through the nature center’s scenic landscape. Guests are invited to return after dark to enjoy the lantern-lit walk and soak in the cozy fall atmosphere.
This free, public event is open to all ages and requires no registration. Fall snacks and crafts will be available throughout the day. Whether you come for the crafts, the critters, or the lantern walk, the Fall Festival at Whitehouse Nature Center promises a festive and memorable autumn experience.
