KCC to Celebrate 25 Years in Albion with Anniversary Open House

Kellogg Community College will host a free open house on November 5 to celebrate 25 years of service in eastern Calhoun County at the Eastern Academic Center in Albion, featuring tours, activities, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Kellogg Community College will celebrate 25 years of serving eastern Calhoun County with a community open house in November at the College’s Eastern Academic Center in Albion.

KCC’s Eastern Academic Center 25th Anniversary Celebration will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the center, which is located at 14055 26 Mile Road in Albion. The event is free and open to the public.

Activities will include:

  • A ribbon cutting with the Greater Albion Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau at 4:30 p.m.
  • Tours of the EAC’s updated facilities, including the center’s first-in-the-nation collaborative robotics enterprise system and brand-new CAD Lab
  • Opportunities to learn more about EAC programs and community resources

“This celebration is a chance to honor our history while looking ahead to the future of education and workforce development in our region,” EAC Director Chrissy Pfeil said. “We’re excited to welcome community members, partners, students and families to celebrate KCC’s 25 years in eastern Calhoun County and see all that the EAC has to offer.”

Pfeil is also a Board Member for the Albion Economic Development Corporation, the connection showcasing the increasing collaboration between KCC and local organizations.

Kellogg Community College’s nearly 20,000-square-foot Eastern Academic Center opened in 2001 and offers spacious classrooms; a computer lab; specialized training labs for CAD, CNA, mechatronics and welding students; a student lounge; and more. The center also provides free parking and Wi-Fi.
