The Albion Arts Commission has announced the opening of its new home — the Albion Arts Center, located at 107 E. Cass Street in downtown Albion. The spacious new venue is envisioned as a vibrant hub for creativity, community, and culture.
Designed to serve artists of all kinds, the Albion Arts Center will provide space for exhibits, art sales, classes, workshops, and individual studios. The Commission hopes the new center will not only support local artists but also strengthen Albion’s growing downtown business district.

A Grand Opening Celebration is planned for Thursday, November 20, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. The event will feature live music, light refreshments, and a special silent auction, where each artist will contribute a unique piece of work for guests to bid on.
The grand opening will also mark the launch of the annual Holiday Gallery, which will continue through December 13. This year’s gallery will showcase both returning favorites and new artists, offering a wide range of original artwork perfect for holiday gift-giving.
Holiday Gallery Hours:
- Thursdays: Dec. 4, 11 from 2 to 6 p.m.
- Fridays: Nov. 21, 28; Dec. 5, 12 from 3 to 6 p.m.
- Saturdays: Nov. 22, 29; Dec. 6, 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Organizers say the new center represents an exciting milestone for Albion’s creative community. “This is more than just a building—it’s a home for art in Albion,” said a spokesperson for the Commission. “We invite everyone to come celebrate and be part of this new chapter in our city’s cultural life.”
