On November 21 and 22, the historic Ismon House (300 S Clinton Street) will host the very first performance of Confluence Dance Company, a new artistic force in our community. The shows begin at 7:30 PM, with doors opening at 7:00 PM.
This two-night event invites residents of all ages to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy an evening centered on the expressive power of dance. The concert will feature four short pieces, each exploring movement in a different way – some telling stories, some expressing shared human experiences, and others simply celebrating the beauty of motion itself.
Whether you’re a longtime arts lover or someone who’s never attended a dance performance before, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience something meaningful, local, and inspiring.
Admission:
A $10 suggested donation helps support the artists and future programming.
Tickets can be reserved online, and walk-ins are welcome at the door as long as seats remain available.
This debut performance is made possible in part by support from the Albion Community Foundation’s Fund for Greater Albion, the Battle Creek Family YMCA through City of Albion Recreation, and generous contributions from community members who believe in the power of the arts.
About Confluence Dance Company
Confluence Dance Company was founded with a mission much larger than the stage itself. Their work aims to:
- To encourage cultural, educational, economic, and community growth and development through the art of dance.
- To expose community members to examples of dance, art and performance.
- To create outlets for up-and-coming student and professional dancers and other artists to create and perform.
- To create safe spaces for a historical and meaningful art form, Contemporary Dance, to be practiced and shared.
The company operates under the Fluence Arts Organization, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting and uplifting artists in Albion and beyond.
This is a special moment for Albion – a chance to welcome a new arts organization, support our local creative community, and enjoy an evening of movement and emotion we don’t often get to experience in our small city.
If you’re looking for something heartfelt, engaging, and truly local to do this November, don’t miss Confluence Dance Company’s debut at the Ismon House. We hope to see you there!
